1998

The Casio Data Logger awards the "Best Overall" prize at the international "Design 98" contest from the world-famous Circuit Cellar Magazine.

1999

The president of the AEI (Associazione Elettrotecnica Elettronica Italiana - Bologna) professor Stefano Pirani appoints me for a prize membership: the Commission approves unanimously.

2000

This site ranked 16th out of the world's 50 best microcontroller pages selected as "key resources" in the "Microcontrollers" topic by LINKS2GO.
From the award notification: "Your page is a Key Resource, we mean that your page is one of the most relevant pages related to a particular topic on the web today, using an objective statistical measure applied to an extremely large data set"

2001

The Scriptable Thermometer awards the "Application of the day" prize in the National Semiconductor's COP8FLASH Design Contest

2002

The Tiny Planet project ranks 12th worldwide on the Circuit Cellar's Design Contest sponsored by Atmel.

2003

Both the Mousetrap and DVD-thermometer designs rank among the top European entries (4th and 6th place) -and win the Distinctive Excellence Award in the Circuit Cellar's Design Contest sponsored by Motorola.

2004

The Silicon Wallet scored among the Top 10 Projects in the Cypress Semiconductor's PSoC (Programmable System On Chip) High Integration Challenge Contest, and has been awarded the Honourable Mention Prize.

2005

This was book year: I wrote a chapter in the book "Homo Utens"(Guerini Scientifica); the Nutchip was introduced in high school textbooks (Calderini); and got the acknowledgments from Aubrey Kagan for inspiring a chapter in "Excel by Example" (Elsevier). It's cool to see your name in print!

2006

Winner again! The Witnesscam project awarded the "Grand Prize" in the AVR2006 design contest. Due to the huge popularity of AVR microcontroller the competition was hard with an unprecedented number of competitors. This makes me even more proud of it!

Let me include the following between the awards - for an engineer, the respect from the engineering community is the best reward:
"I happened by your webpage and you've got some great stuff on it".

embedded systems guru and founder of Circuit Cellar Magazine
